Warmth • Relaxation • Muscle Relief
Hot Stone Massage combines traditional massage techniques with smooth, heated stones to create a deeply relaxing treatment while helping warm and soften tight muscles.
During the treatment, warmed stones may be placed on specific areas of the body and also used as an extension of the therapist’s hands. The heat allows the therapist to work into areas of muscular tension while maintaining a soothing, flowing massage experience.
Hot Stone Massage may help:
Expect a warm, slow, deeply relaxing massage. Your therapist continuously monitors the temperature of the stones and adjusts the treatment according to your comfort.
Hot Stone Massage is especially enjoyable during colder months or anytime your body feels tight, tired, stressed, or in need of deeper relaxation
These treatments are not the same. Deep Tissue Massage relies primarily on targeted pressure and techniques to address deeper muscular tension. Hot Stone Massage uses therapeutic warmth to encourage the muscles to relax, allowing the therapist to work effectively without necessarily using intense pressure.
At Lavender Skin Therapy, your massage can be customized according to your comfort level, areas of tension, and individual needs.
At Lavender Skin Therapy, Hot Stone Massage is available in several treatment lengths so you can choose the experience that works best for you:
60 minutes
A full-body massage with hot stones, ideal when you’re short on time or want to focus on general relaxation.
Warm-up
Allows additional time for areas of tension while still providing a relaxing full-body treatment.
90 minutes
Recommended for a more comprehensive Hot Stone Massage with extra attention to tight or overworked muscles.
120 minutes
Our most extensive option, providing plenty of time for a slow, deeply relaxing full-body treatment and focused work on multiple areas of tension.
Not sure which one to choose? 75 or 90 minutes is a great place to start if you want to fully experience the benefits of Hot Stone Massage.
Hot Stone Massage combines traditional massage techniques with smooth, heated stones. The stones may be placed on specific areas of the body or used by the therapist during massage to provide soothing warmth and help relax tight muscles.
The stones are professionally heated to a controlled temperature. Your therapist will always consider your comfort and can adjust the temperature if the stones feel too warm.
The warmth can help relax tense muscles, decrease stiffness, promote circulation, reduce everyday stress, and create a deeper sense of relaxation. Heat may also allow the therapist to work on tight areas without requiring as much pressure.
No. Deep Tissue Massage typically uses more targeted pressure and techniques to address deeper muscular tension. Hot Stone Massage relies more on therapeutic warmth and flowing massage techniques. Depending on your needs, elements of deeper work may be incorporated when appropriate.
It should not. You should experience comfortable warmth rather than burning or excessive heat. Please communicate with your therapist at any time if the temperature or massage pressure needs to be adjusted.
Absolutely. Your massage is customized to your preferences. Let your therapist know whether you prefer light, medium, or firmer pressure and which areas need the most attention.
Hot Stone Massage may not be appropriate for everyone, particularly clients with certain conditions affecting temperature sensation, circulation, blood clotting, or skin integrity. Please disclose your medical conditions, medications, recent injuries or surgeries, and pregnancy before treatment. When necessary, medical clearance may be requested.
Drink water, avoid a very heavy meal immediately beforehand, and arrive a few minutes early so you can discuss any areas of pain, injury, sensitivity, or tension with your therapist.
You will undress only to your personal comfort level. Professional draping is used throughout the massage, and only the area currently being treated is uncovered.
