Contrast Stimulation Therapy: RF + Cryotherapy

Heat • Cool • Tone • Rejuvenate

Contrast Stimulation Therapy combines two contrasting temperatures Radio Frequency (RF) heat followed by Cryotherapy cooling in one facial treatment.

The concept is to use controlled warming and cooling sequentially to create a dynamic treatment experience while targeting skin firmness, tone, puffiness, and overall rejuvenation.

Phase 1: Radio Frequency - Controlled Warming

RF delivers controlled energy into the deeper layers of the skin, creating gentle tissue heating. This thermal stimulation is used to:

The warming phase also increases local circulation during treatment.

Phase 2: Cryotherapy - Controlled Cooling

After RF, Cryotherapy rapidly cools the skin. Cooling causes superficial blood vessels to temporarily constrict and provides a soothing, refreshing contrast to the warming phase.
Cryotherapy is used to:

Why Combine Heat + Cold?

The alternating thermal stimulation is what makes this treatment unique.

RF warms and stimulates → Cryotherapy cools and tones.

Rather than choosing between the two modalities, Contrast Stimulation Therapy combines their complementary effects in one customized facial heat for collagen-focused rejuvenation followed by cooling for soothing, toning, and de-puffing.

Great For

This treatment is particularly suited for clients concerned with early skin laxity, fine lines, loss of firmness, facial puffiness, dullness, and tired-looking skin.

For progressive improvement in firmness and skin quality, a series of treatments may be recommended.

RF + CRYO = WARM • STIMULATE • COOL • TONE

What to Expect During RF + Cryotherapy Contrast Stimulation

Advanced Skin Renewal • Repair • Hydration • Rejuvenation

Your treatment begins with Radio Frequency (RF), which gradually warms the skin and underlying tissue. Most clients describe this phase as a comfortable, relaxing warmth. The goal is to provide controlled thermal stimulation to support collagen remodeling, firmness, and smoother-looking skin.

The RF phase is followed by Cryotherapy, creating a noticeable contrast as the skin is gently cooled. This phase feels refreshing and soothing and can help calm the skin and temporarily reduce the appearance of puffiness.

Immediately after treatment, your skin may appear:

There is typically little to no downtime, so most clients can return to their normal activities immediately.

While some effects may be noticeable after your first treatment, RF-related improvements are generally progressive as collagen remodeling takes place over time. For concerns such as skin laxity and fine lines, a series of treatments is usually recommended for the best visible results.

Expect a comfortable warm-to-cool experience designed to leave your skin looking refreshed, toned, and rejuvenated.
